Lois Mae Stock Sperry, 76, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at home.
She was born to the late Paul & Lucille Failyer, May 8, 1938, in Richland, MO. She married the late Merrill Dean Stock in 1963, and they lived together in Deep River, IA until his death in 1978. She later married Harley Sperry in 1999 and helped raise her 4 grandchilden.
Lois enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed writing, watching all sporting events and racing, and traveling in the US and collecting key chains and magnets.
Lois is survived by one sister & five children: Esther Roach, Folkston,GA; Paul Foley of California; Patricia & Lynn Hudnut of Barnes City; Randy & Kim Stock of Oskaloosa, Sandy & Paul Beltz of Oskaloosa; Kathleen & Bryan Butler of Oskaloosa. She also is survived by 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Besides her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Debra.
As was Lois’s wishes, her body will be cremated and no visitation is scheduled. A private family graveside memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in the Sixteenth Cemetery north of What Cheer. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
