Gary Lee Hubler; 69 of Tipton passed away from a heart attack at home Thursday June 25th.
Funeral service will be held at Cedar ST Baptist Church Tipton, Tuesday June 30, 2015 at 10:00 will be officiated by Pastor Brian Wilkins. Burial will be at Woodbridge Cemetery in Buchanan and luncheon to follow at church.
Gary was born March 3, 1946 in Cedar Rapids son of Kenneth and Velma
Williams) Hubler. He graduated from West Branch High School in 1965.
Then he was drafted and entered the Army in Dec 15, 1965 served in
Vietnam 1st Calvary 5th and 2nd Bravo Company, he served his country through December 1967. On February 7, 1969 he was united in marriage with Betty Jean Anderson, the love of his life.
He had been employed with VA Hospital in housekeeping, Goss as assembler, Rhoners Machine Works maintenance Foreman & welder.
He was member of Cedar St Baptist Church in Tipton where he was a Deacon. He was also a member of the VFW and lifetime member of NRA. He enjoyed deer hunting; he was known as "Sure Shot", racing, flowers, dancing, farming, traveling, cars, animals and most of all, loved his family and friends and loved kidding, around with everyone. He will be deeply missed by all who he touched with his warm smile and kindness.
Survivors include wife Betty Hubler, son Brant (Rhonda) Hubler and grandson Jessy Hubler West Branch; Brothers and sister: Kenneth JR (Kristeen) Hubler of St Helens Oregon, Sharon (Leo) Ford of Tipton Allen (Patty) Hubler of Tipton Darrell Hubler of West Branch and sister in law Gloria, Hubler West Branch. Nytasha, Keynan, and Jaylin who he thought of as grandkids, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Dean Hubler and Dale Hubler.
