Virginia Gay Zieser (Ellis), 52, of Cedar Rapids passed away at home on July 28, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held Monday August 3, from 5-7pm at The Best Western Plus, Longbranch at 90 Twixt Town Road NE in Cedar Rapids.
Virginia was born on July 12, 1963 to her mother Karen Grahm (Fritz) and father Otis Ellis in Iowa City. She was a caring and loving person. Virginia cherished spending time with family and friends and her dog Bella. Her son Mitchell was her life’s joy. Virginia enjoyed traveling, doing arts and crafts, collecting fans, wind chimes and butterflies. Her door was always open and she was a true caretaker.
She is survived by her son Mitchell (Duane) Foster, sisters; Wanda Crowder, April Grahm, nephews Josh and Zach and lifelong friends Judy Hazlett and Twila Arntz.
Virginia is now with her mother, grandmother and beloved dog Zoey in heaven. She will be truly and deeply missed amongst everyone who knew her.
