Steven Springer
Steven Don Springer, 64, of Kalona, Iowa passed away January 1, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City after a courageous battle with ALS. As were his wishes, he will be cremated. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Czech National Cemetery.
Steven is survived by his two sons and their families, Phillip Springer and David Springer both of Austin, TX; two daughter-in-laws Brittani and Tabitha, and four grandchildren Jonathan, London, Colton, Matthew, and many friends who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Steven was born on May 28, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Darold and Anna Springer. He worked as a chiropractor in Kalona, Iowa from 1974 to 2003 where he lived the majority of his life. Steven’s love and passion was fishing for catfish in the English River and being outdoors where he felt closest to God.
I wish to thank all the people that have extended acts of kindness to me during my illness. The family also wishes to thank everyone who graciously cared for our dad during his battle against ALS.
