Bonnie Lou Mealman

Bonnie Lou Mealman, 70, of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, died January 30, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Lisbon.  The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00 a.m. at the church before the celebration.  A reception will immediately follow the celebration.

Bonnie was born October 30, 1944 in Cedar Rapids to Harry Victor and Wiona Waleska (Ohrt) Lange.  She worked at Oral-B for twenty-seven years.

Bonnie was a huge Elvis Presley fan.  She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, and her beloved dog of ten years, Boots.

She is survived by her mother, Wiona Lange of Las Vegas, Nevada; three children: Tina (Sara) Palmer of Cedar Rapids; Annette Palmer of Las Vegas; and William (Shelli) Mealman of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren: Brianne Urbina, Brittany Kriese, Megan Mealman, Amber Coleman, Alyssa Mealman, Cara Mealman, and Dillon Mealman; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister Beverly (John) Chunka of Omaha, Nebraska; brother Billy G. (Connie) Lange of Mt. Vernon; sister Brenda (Fred) Potter of Monmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in by her father, Harry, and son Robert Mealman.
