Betty J. Spurbeck, age 89, of Manchester died Friday, February 13, 2015 in her home.
Per Betty's wishes, a private inurnment will take place in Sunnyside Memory Gardens in Charles City Ia. There she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clayton, who passed away on February 13, 1991.
Betty Jane Brady was born December 16, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN to Lynn and Hilda (Sorenson) Brady. On June 27, 1946, Betty was united in marriage to Clayton Spurbeck at the Little Brown Church near Nashua.
Betty was a homemaker for most of her life, although most of the time there would have been a grandchild, great-grandchild, or several at a time, visiting with her. While residing in Toddville, Betty became an active member of the Toddville Free Methodist Church where she made lifelong friends.
Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Goudreau, her husband, parents, and her brother Robert Brady and sister Barbara Osborn.
She is survived by two daughters; Sue Richardson of Independence and Dianna Murdock of Council Bluffs, two sisters; Pauline Bathke and Donna Hackbarth, and one brother Gerry Ering. Also included would be seven grandchildren; Lori, Lisa, Dewey, Dennis, Kelly, Stephanie and Jennifer; and several great grandchildren.
