Danny K. Thompson, 69 of Shellsburg died Saturday December 26, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly, a son Donald (Melissa) of Texas, a brother Gary (Rochelle) of Michigan, six grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Danny was born on September 15, 1946 Webster City, the son of Wendell and Neva Phipps Thompson. He married Beverly A. Leopoldo on September 15, 2001 in West Liberty.
Danny worked at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after 22 years of service. He proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Danny enjoyed fishing, target shooting, camping, boating, wood working and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
