Donald Hartsock
Donald Lee Hartsock, 67 of Parkview Iowa, passed away Wednesday, August 5 quietly at home. Born on August 26, 1947.
Don worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years in Davenport, Iowa and in Minneapolis, Mn. Don served in the US Army in Viet Nam 1967-68.
Preceded in death by his father Wayne and granddaughter Jenna Paetz. Those left to honor his memory: mother Ione Hartsock and wife Deb Carlberg-Hartsock, 4 sisters Marlene Brown (Joe), Joyce (Bruce) Benning, Janet (Bill) Pierce, Roxanne (Mark) Powell and a half-sister Peggy White; 2 brothers, Jerry (Sue) Hartsock, and Ted Hartsock. 4 children: Rich (Melinda) Hartsock, Tammy (Bob) Paetz, Cara Blake, David Hartsock, stepson, Nick (Emily) Carlberg. And 9 grand-children. Many nieces and nephews and cousins who Don enjoyed being with often. Special friends, Kevin Schaecher and Jeff Strub
Don had an infectious laugh that will never be forgotten but deeply missed. He loved cooking, the BBQ and his famous sauce, playing cards, cribbage, and horseshoes and of course fishing!
A celebration of his life will be made at a later date.
