Susan Kelley Riddle, 48, of Colfax, Iowa, died Sunday, April 19, 2015 in rural Warren County due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
Susan was born December 22, 1966 in Des Moines to Charles and Nancy (McGarry) Frederick. The family soon relocated to New Virginia. After graduating high school, Susan received her associate’s degree, and worked as a human resources professional for most of her career.
She was an animal-lover, who adored dogs and horses. She was involved in the animal rescue league, and enjoyed horseback riding. She also loved travelling and working in her vegetable garden.
She is survived by her husband, Randy S. Schlie of Colfax; son Topher (Tana) Riddle of Wheaton, Minnesota; son Sheldon Schlie of Illinois; grandchildren: Lily Riddle and Carter Lee; father Charles Frederick of New Virginia; and two brothers: Tyler and Tim (Elana) Frederick of Des Moines.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, brothers Topher and Tom Frederick, and grandson Easton Riddle.
