Klaas A. Kruger, 82, of Cedar Falls, passed away April 6, 2015 at home.
Klaas was born January 12, 1933, in Grundy Center, Iowa; son of Klaas C. and Fern R. (Wandling) Kruger. He proudly served our country in the Korean War (1953-1954). He married Nona Rochelle Williams May 24, 1958.
Klaas was employed at Blue Line Truck Lines (4 years) and H&W Motor Freight (38 years). He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, the Masons, Shriners (clown unit), and a lifetime AMVETS member.
Survived by: Wife, Nona; four children and ten grandchildren Kevin (Dawn)—Jack, Ted and Sally of Bloomington, MN; Lowell (Lori)—Matt and Tom of Bloomington, MN; Alex (Jill)—Valerie and Jocelyn of Baltimore, MD; Keri (Ryan) Dundee—Dillon, Drake and Anna of Center Point, IA; Siblings Ramona (Paul) Meyeraan, Bernita (Tom) Huss, Lawrence (Linda), and Arnold (Susie) all residing in Cedar Falls; along with nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Saturday, May 16, 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls with the visitation at 10 AM. Burial will be following the service in Grundy Center.
Memorials (in lieu of flowers) are preferred to go to Amyloidosis Research at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
