Debra K. Loftsgard, 56, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Elgin, IA passed away Thursday April 30, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City surrounded by family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Marion Lutheran Church 14734 Agate Rd near Gunder, IA with a Service to follow at 1:00 PM on Saturday May 16, 2015.

Deb was born May 24, 1958 to Ron and Judy Loftsgard at the Postville Hospital.

She is survived by her parents; Ron and Judy Loftsgard, brothers; Dave (Kathy) Loftsgard and Drew (Kris) Loftsgard, Maternal Grandmother; Betty Nims and her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Glen Nims, Gilbert and Bessie Loftsgard, Uncles; Bernard and Charles Loftsgard, Aunt; Karol Helgerson and Cousins; Larry and Bernard Jr. Loftsgard.

Deb graduated from Valley High in Elgin, IA with the class of ’76 where she excelled in basketball, softball, band and chorus.

She followed Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball having season tickets for several years.  Seldom was she seen without a Hawkeye shirt.

She enjoyed being with all her many friends either in the Elgin or Cedar Rapids areas and at Bible study.

Deb was employed at Nordstrom in Cedar Rapids at the time of her death.  She was previously employed at Arnberg Insulation in Postville, Bond’s Tax Services in Wadena,  Canteen in La Cross, WI, Signode Engineered Products West Union and US Cellular in Cedar Rapids.

Please attend in casual and or Iowa Hawkeye attire for the visitation and service.
