Margaret Marie Fink

Margaret Marie Fink, 91, of Tripoli, died Tuesday, September 9, at the Tripoli Nursing Home.

She was born June 30, 1923, in rural Sumner.  She was the daughter of Otto and Malinda (Geffert) Rieck.  Margaret graduated from Tripoli High School in 1941.  She was united in marriage to Robert Fink in Warrensburg, MO, March 24, 1944.

Margaret worked at the Tripoli Canning Factory, the Fareway Stores in Waverly and the Tripoli Leader.   She also did seasonal work for UPS in Mesa.  She enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, sewing, crocheting, singing in the church choir as well as with the Song Birds, and wintering for many years in Mesa, AZ.  Margaret was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Tripoli, and the VFW Auxiliary.

Margaret is survived by a son Michael (Elaine), of Traer, a daughter, Carma Bouska of Waverly, a daughter-in-law, Kathy Fink of Tripoli, two grandsons, Eric Becker of St. Paul, MN, and Matthew Fink (Annie) of Cedar Falls, two sisters, Marilyn Hoppenworth of Tripoli and Kathryn (Ron) Lindner of Vero Beach, FL, a sister-in-law, Mildred Rieck, Tripoli, and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, a son, Barry, three brothers, Alfred, Dale, and Ronald, and a sister, Elsie.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church. 

Memorials may be directed to the family.
