Holly Suzanne Bickell

Holly Suzanne Bickell, 59, of Maynard, Iowa passed away at her home Tuesday September 16, 2014.  As were her wishes she will be cremated.  Services will be Sunday September 28th, 2:30pm at the Oelwein Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Holly is survived by three children: Amanda Bickell of Oelwein, IA, Garret (Katie) Bickell of Manchester, IA, and Kirsten Bickell of Florida and a Son-in-Law Josh Hartman of Independence, IA; parents Harvey and Virginia Fischer of Fayette, IA; siblings: Larry (Sissy) Fischer of Alabama, Patricia (Robert) Clark of Massachusetts, Kent (Rose) Fischer of New York, Rita Corbin of Oelwein, IA, Scott (Tammy) Fischer of Fayette, IA, Joel (Cindy) Fischer of Colorado, and Todd Fischer of Arlington, IA; Grandchildren: Aundrea, Makayla, Brianna, and Cole.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Cole Bickell. 

Holly Suzanne Fischer was born July 12, 1955 in Oelwein, IA to Harvey Martin and Virginia Lee (Byerly) Fischer.  On February 19, 1977, she married Edwin Cole Bickell in Maynard, IA.  Holly worked for many years as a nursing aide. Holly enjoyed family, friends, gardening, and home decorating.  She also spent many hours teaching people the value of Bible principles and giving them hope for the future.  She was a highly organized and practical person, known for a wonderful sense of humor and compassion for others.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Memorial donations in Holly’s name may be made to Palmer Hospice of West Union.
