Frank Anthony Motto
Frank Anthony Motto, age 77, of Clear Lake, IA. passed away on Saturday, September 13th at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton, IA. after a long illness.
Frank was born in Chicago, IL. on December 30th, 1936 to Anthony F. Motto, and Anne G. Motto (nee Weissenhofer). He attended Morgan Park Military Academy there, and later served honorably in the U.S. Air Force at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE. Frank returned to Chicago after his Military service, working in a variety of technical positions, but eventually left Chicago in 1970 and finally settled in Clear Lake, IA. in 1976. Frank worked as the Chief Engineer of the Clear Lake Bakery until it closed in 2000, and then started his own Consulting business in Industrial Controls.
Frank and his wife Beverly, (Bev) were very active in their Community, from doing skits at the Surf Ballroom to competing in numerous regional Racket ball tournaments. Frank was also an active Private Pilot. In later years, both Frank and Bev were very active in the Pekingese Club of America, and many other Kennel Clubs, showing their dogs across the region and winning many awards. Frank was also the past President of the North Central Illinois Pekingese Club. Frank and Bev loved to entertain their many friends over the years. Frank had a great passion for life and living.
Frank was a loving father, and is survived by his children, Bruce G. Gamerl, (Jody), of Clear Lake, IA. , Anthony F. Motto of Charlotte, NC., and Ruth A. Motto of Park City, UT, with 10 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Beverly (nee Luther) in 2008.
In honoring the wishes of Frank Motto, there will be no Funeral. Memorial Services are pending.
