John Earl Stern Sr., 68, died Tuesday October 28, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City.

Surviving is Eileen Stern, four children; John, Destiney, Shannon, Misty, a brother, Tom, two sisters Sharon and Betty. Also surviving are several grandchildren.
John was born June 18, 1946 in Cedar Rapids to Wilbert and Betty Stern. John served his country in the United States Navy.
