William Leroy Belcher

William Leroy Belcher, 70, of Burlington, Iowa passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his home. As were his wishes, he has been cremated. A Celebration of Bill's Life is scheduled for Saturday, June 28th at First Assembly of God church in Burlington starting at 10:30 am with visitation at 9 am. Pastor Larry Dodds will officiate.
  
William is survived by his father of Grinnell Iowa; his wife Karon Belcher of Burlington, IA; 2 children: Les Belcher of Burlington, IA, and Elaine Belcher of West Burlington , IA, 2 sisters; Sheila Lane of Oskloosa, Ia, Linda Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 2 Bothers; Ron and Steve Belcher of Grinell, IA. 2 grandsons: Jake Belcher of Plano, Texas and Terry Belcher of Arvada, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a son, Tom Belcher and a granddaughter, Christina Ann Belcher. 
William Leroy Belcher was born October 11, 1943 in Grinnell, Iowa to William Layfette and Ann Belle (Large) Belcher. On March 24, 1966 he married Karon Lea Poland in Oquawka, Illinois. William was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Burlington. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed tinkering out in his garage. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A memorial has been established in William’s name and may be sent to 1903 Isabella, Burlington, Iowa.
