Jack Eugene Treloar
Jack Eugene Treloar, 80, of Waucoma, died Sunday, June 15, at New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Hampton, from complications of Lewy Body Parkinson’s disease.
He was born May 26, 1934, in New Hampton, son of Edward and Laura Smith Treloar. He married Judith Westpfahl on April 30, 1958, in Hawkeye.
A 1953 graduate of Waucoma High School, Jack served in the U.S. Army as a tank commander in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He farmed for many years.
Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Kay (Ray) Snyder and Kim (Rick) Conrad, both of Waucoma; two sons, Kevin (Teresa) of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Kurt (Jen Pollard), both of Waverly; 13 grandchildren, Clayton (Julie) Snyder, Josh Snyder, Kelly (Craig) Speltz, Kalista Porath, Keelee Conrad, Kyle (Rachel) Conrad, Donnie Schaer, Ryan Treloar, Hailey Treloar, Dylan Treloar, Andrea Treloar, Kohle Nieland and Carter Treloar; a foster granddaughter, Jaymee (Bronson) Chevalier; 10 great-grandchildren, Jordon and Olivia Snyder, Jamison and Jaxson Porath, Kaeden and Karson Conrad, Hailey and Hannah Schaer, Madelynn and Marcus Chevalier; a brother, Donald (Mary) of Hawkeye; a sister, Joyce Ellickson of Decorah; and his father-in-law, Oliver Westpfahl Sr. of Hawkeye.
Preceded in death by: his parents; three sisters, Beth Wireman, Katherine Flaig and Marion Bahlmann; and two brothers, George and Clayton.
Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Richfield Lutheran Church, rural Sumner, with burial in Alpha Cemetery, Alpha, with military honors. Celebration of Life from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Waucoma American Legion Hall.
