Evelyn Brummer
Evelyn Brummer, 95 a resident of Heritage Nursing and Rehab died there on Wednesday January 8, 2014 after a long illness. Private family services will be held at a later date. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters Bonnie Akers and Sheila Moses both of Cedar Rapids and a son Rodney of East Dubuque, Illinois. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Darlene and Gloria and eight brothers and sisters.
Evelyn was born on May 8, 1918 in Caledonia, Minnesota the daughter of John and Mary Davy Tessin. She married Rhinehart Brummer on February 9, 1936 in Caledonia, Minnesota. Rhinehart passed away in 1983.
Evelyn was a homemaker and enjoyed gambling, playing bingo, dancing to polka music and the time she spent with her beloved family.
