Donna Rae Gries of Muscatine, Iowa passed away on January 11, 2014.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at the Grandview Community Bible Church in Grandview, Iowa on Wednesday January 15th at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon.
Surviving family members include her husband Charles Richard Gries of Fruitland, two sons Richard Gries and wife Roxanne, Robert Gries and wife Jolene of Muscatine, two daughters Rhonda Dusenberry and husband Doug of Chadwick, Missouri and Cheryl Gries of Ft. Madison. Donna also has 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Donna Rae Ryan was born on July 31, 1942 to Leonard and Evelyn Ryan in Galt, Iowa. She married Charles Gries on August 13, 1960 in Onawa, Iowa. The couple moved to Muscatine in 1966 where they worked and raised their four children. Donna worked and retired from Wal-Mart after more than 20 years of service. Some of her favorite things were spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling.
Donna was preceded in death by her father Leonard Ryan and mother Evelyn Ryan.
