James Lee Werner
James Lee Werner, 67, of Marshalltown passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Marshalltown. Per his wishes he has been cremated. A memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Jim is survived by two sons; Scott (Kelley) Werner of Ankeny, Brian (Lauri) Werner of Gilbert, a daughter Kim (Mike) Wetzel of Norwalk, a sister Judy Erb of Irwin. Also Surviving are nine grandchildren, one nephew, and one niece.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother –in-law Denny Erb, and nephew Nathan Erb.
Jim was born on December 15, 1946 in Carroll, IA to Wilbur and Dorothy Werner. He graduated from Carroll Kuemper High School in 1964 and attended Iowa State University graduating with degrees in Mathematics and Economics. Jim worked as a welder for Todd & Sargent, PMI, and Lenox. He enjoyed Nascar, stock car racing, sports history, and cross word puzzles.
