Carl Lambertus Nederhoff

Carl Lambertus Nederhoff, 92, of Wellsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his home. There are no services planned at this time.

Carl Nederhoff was born on April 12, 1921, the son of Johannes and Cuna (Bunger) Nederhoff in Shiloh Township, Iowa. He bravely served his country in the Army during World War II. Carl married his wife, Annie Niehaus in Lancaster, MO on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1942. He liked to go to casinos and on bus trips. He loved playing with his dogs and watching sports on TV. Carl was a member of the AMVETS and the American Legion Post #213 in Wellsburg.

Carl is survived by his children; Larry Nederhoff of Wellsburg, Duane (Becky) Nederhoff of Grundy Center, Jeff (Melissa) Nederhoff of Altoona, Shirley (Harold) Frentress of Fort Dodge, and Sandra (Ken) Blietz of Ventura; two grandchildren, Mark and Lisa; and his great-grandchildren.

Carl is preceded in death by his wife, Annie; his parents; and his brothers and sisters.

The family requests that all memorial contributions be sent to the family or Cedar Valley Hospice.
