Faye Delores Benning, 87, of Geneva, Iowa passed away August 1, 2014 of natural causes.  A memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s UCC in Geneva, IA on Saturday, September 6 with a burial at St. Peter’s UCC Cemetery rural Geneva following the service.  Pastor John Hanna will be officiating.

Faye is survived by her husband LaVerne Benning of Geneva, IA; son Arnold (Sandy) of Waterloo, IA; son Jerry of Berlin, Germany; Polish son Robert (Agata) of Warsaw, Poland and their son Wolcek and daughter Sosia; along with countless friends, cousins, nephew, and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Ella, brother Al, sisters Lydia and Anna, and daughters Diane Kaye and Charlene Kaye.

Faye Delores Spieker was born March 2, 1927 to Jerry and Ella (Lindaman) Spieker in Ackley, Iowa.  She married LaVerne Benning on July 15, 1951 in Geneva, Iowa. Faye worked as a secretary in Mason City, taught country school in rural Geneva, was a homemaker on the family farm, and served as Church secretary for St. Peter’s UCC for decades.
