Obituary for Mary Louise Jones

Mary Louise Jones (nee Link) died peacefully April 30, 2014 in West Branch, Iowa at the age of ninety-one. She was born in Waukon, Iowa, attended the University of Iowa, and received an undergraduate degree from Mundelein College.  Shortly after WWII she moved to Chicago, where she met and married Dallas Jones, and they settled in Wilmette, IL where they raised three children. There, she worked as an independent writer for many years.  In her later years she moved to Iowa City, where she continued to enjoy writing, painting, and the arts.  She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas, her parents Harlan and Mary Frances Link, and her sisters Margaret, Kay, Alyce, and Elaine.  Her sisters Liz, Fran and Bobbee, her children Victoria, Louis, and Robert, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her.  

The family would like to thank the staff of Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their exemplary care and compassion during her final years.
