Betty Joyce Morrison

Betty Joyce Morrison, 55, of Walford, IA passed away at her home Tuesday October 15, 2013. As were her wishes she will be cremated. Memorial gathering and dinner will be Saturday October 19, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the city hall, 120 5th Street, Walford, Iowa. Betty is survived by her husband William Earl Morrison of Walford, IA; two daughters: Deanna (Greg) Kieffer of Indiana, and Misty (Jermy) Campbell of Walford, IA; Grandchildren: Bailee Kieffer, of Indiana, Destiny, Dominic, and Aiden Campbell, all of Walford, IA; step-son Warren (Carrie) Morrison of Illinois; step grand-daughters Kylie and Madison Morrison of Illinois; 4 siblings: Pat Elam of Prague, OK, James Gallope, Norma Dean East, and Virginia Winn, all of Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Henry Gallope and mother Ethel Gallope; grandparents: Adolph and Bertha Shebert; sister Dorothy Jolley; brother Robert Gallope; and adopted brother Tony Gallope. Betty Joyce Gallope was born October 24, 1957 to Henry and Ethel (Shebert) Gallope in Oklahoma City, OK. After graduating from high school she went on to college and studied to be an optometric assistant. On November 16, 1982 she married William Earl Morrison in Elk City, OK. Betty worked for Whirlpool Amana for over 20 years and was soon planning on retiring. Her hobbies included boating, camping, horseback riding, puzzles, and traveling. She loved spending time with her friends and family and especially loved playing with her grandkids. Memorial donations may be made to her kids and grandkids.
