Kenneth "Kenny" Peters

Kenneth “Kenny” Peters, 92, of Columbus Junction passed away Sunday November 24th 2013. Services will be held at a later date.

Kenny was born February 2nd 1921 in Cotter Iowa to Omrie and Venice (Bell) Peters. Kenny attended Cotter high school then went on to Industrial engineering school in Chicago, Plumbing school in Kansas City MO. Kenny went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII as a Veterinarian. 

Kenny married Velma Marie Stephenson on January 8th 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa. Kenny worked as a self employed plumber in Columbus junction for 54 years.

Kenny is survived by his wife Velma, his son Ed (Diane) Peters, grandsons Michael (Kimberly) Peters, Christopher (Lisa) Peters, Donald (Jenny) Zaehringer,a granddaughter Kelly Zeshringer-Schnepper, plus his extended family Nick Uthe, Jim and Penny Wellington, and a sister Pauline Brenensen.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert, Keith, and William, and his sister Lillian.
