Glen Teraberry

Glen Teraberry, 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville in the company of his children. He was a long-time resident of Muscatine, Iowa, who in recent years had moved to Iowa City, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 20th at the First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine, Iowa. Glen Teraberry was born on September 13, 1917 to Glen Earl and Hazel Bowling Teraberry on the family homestead in Malcom, Iowa. Glen graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA Degree in Education. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean Dement on October 12, 1941 in Muscatine, Iowa. Glen began his 41 year career with The Stanley Engineering Company in 1941, retiring from Stanley Consultants in 1982. He was a devoted father who loved spending time with family and friends. Glen was an avid golfer and gardener who also enjoyed bowling, culinary arts and bridge. He had a life-long quest for knowledge and understanding. He was an active member of the BPOE (Elks Club) and the First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his children, Michalle (Jerry) Hufford of Chico, California; Margaret Halverson of Iowa City, Iowa; David (Heidi) Teraberry of Durango, Colorado; Kathleen Teraberry of Iowa City. Iowa; and Steve (Mary) Teraberry of Muscatine, Iowa. He had 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth; and his four brothers.
