Richard Childs
Rich, Rest in Peace. I always found you to be a kind man. Interested in what others were doing and always willing to help. A welcoming person. I pray that you are now resting in the palms of our lord. Stu
Richard may you rest in peace. I started country school with Richard at Perry No.5 (Stormy Point). There were five of us in kindergarten, the largest class in the school at the time. It was Richard, myself, Mark Podhajsky, Ron Adamek, and Joyce Drinosky. Richard always had a great smile and laugh. My sympathy to all his family.
As kids growing up on farms south of Traer we were neighbors across the field looking south to the Childs home place his parents lived there with their family. I attended the country school Perry #5 (Stormy Point) with Richard's sister Gloria (childs) Peters. My sympathy goes to all remaining family members.
Uncle Richard was a great man! A very patient man. He put up with a city slicker kid like me spending summers on the farm in my early years. Richard could fix anything he set his mind to! He also would do anything to help anybody. This made him a well liked man. I have such good memories of him. The torch is passed now to you Jason and Justin. Carry it well.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one .I hope it helps to know our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
Oh Uncle Richard....I can still hear your contagious laugh...I remember you and I talking on the phone and you telling me that you could not understand me because of my Illinoisan accent! I remember you showing my brother David and I the calves on the farm when we were little and you, Lori, Jason and Justin coming to Morton and visiting us for the weekend. We played MadLibs - that is one of my funniest memories - playing MadLibs with you at the kitchen table in Morton. :) You will definitely be missed.....
Richard was like a brother to me when he was in school. He spent a lot of his growing up years at our house with my brother Lynus. I was four years younger that they were so you know every thing they did was funnt, funny, funny, He fit right in and was considered family. Oh to relive some of those precious day again. He was a special person and I loved him.So sorry for your loss Jason. My prayers are with you. Dave send special seniements to you jason. May God bless you.
My sympathy to the family on your loss. Richard was a great guy and I know he will be missed. God bless you all.
Senior year classmate at Traer-Clutier H.S. Best memory is holloween "pranks" that shall forever go unmentioned.
My sympathy to the family on your loss. Richard was a great guy and I know he will be missed. God bless you all.
Richard was a former neighbor of mine, and though I have not seen him for several years, I always considered him a good friend...Richard was one of the nicest persons I have ever met...He was blessed with a kind and understanding heart, always optimistic and able to see the humor in any situation, if a laugh or funny comment was there...He was industrious, hard working, honest, good natured and very devoted to his family....He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched... My thoughts and prayers are with his sons and family at this sad time...May he rest in the loving arms of God.... Rest in peace, Richard... Your friend, Betty
May you rest in peace, Richard. I have enjoyed our visits over the last couple of months. You were always upbeat, but realistic. Thank you for your friendship.
So sorry for your loss, time does heal and memories last for ever. Thinking of you boys in the days ahead.
