Obituary for Leon Michael Hall

Leon Michael Hall, 62, of Oelwein, died at his home on June 18, 2013. A small private family service will be held at St. Albert''s Cemetery in Lamont at a later date. Mike was born on July 6, 1951 and grew up on the family farm east of Lamont. He graduated from Starmont High School in 1969 and went to work in Cedar Rapids; from there he went to work at Pries Enterprise in Independence until he had a debilitating heart attack. Mike''s idea of a good day was to take a cooler out o n a boat and fish until the cooler was empty. Preceding him in death were his parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Hall; sister, Cheryl Prendergast; and brothers, Kent and Philip Hall. Mike is survived by a brother, Mel Hall and 9 nieces and nephews all of who will always have a special place in their hearts for Mike.
