Doris Pedersen Stilwell
Jane & Donald, Leona Pedersen sends her conolences. She has spoke of Doris quite often. Doris will be greatly missed.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I have so many good memories of your family coming to the Iowa farm..It was such a good time for all, your mother in the kitchen helping to prepare the great farm meals. Doris was great at keeping us connected to the Iowa family even after we moved to Oregon. She wrote great letters to Mom and Dad and continued after my Dad passed. Mom was always anxious to share her letters with our family and we all looked forward to reading them. She is the last of her generation to be with the rest of the family. I am sure she had a fulfilling life and will always be remembered by everyone in the family.
Dear Jane, I will remember Doris for her smile, laughter, and good conversation. I have thought of her and you often since my last visits in January. When I think of Doris I smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I'm so sorry to hear of Doris' passing. We played cards together and always enjoyed each others company. I tried to visit her regularly while she was at the Western Home. We always had a good conversation and we laughed a lot when we visited. I visited her the last week of June and told her I was having hip replacement July 1st and wouldn't be able to visit for, probably, the next 6 weeks. She seemed to understand so I hope she didn't wonder why I hadn't come by to see her as I always had. I will miss her and our visits.CVIZW
