Phillip Thomas
I remember many a summer on the Lake with Phil when I was a kid. I'm so very sorry for your loss. He was, indeed, a gentleman.
So very sorry to here about Phil's passing. My condolances to all the family and loved ones. I worked with Phil & Chief at the Skelly in West Branch for several years. Phil & Chief were great to work with, I have a lot of great memories of our times together. YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS Bill
I met Phillip at Northbrook during Lunch last week while I was visiting another person there. I struck up a conversation with Phillip about his past experiences. He talked about his time on the B17 and explained that he had to man the turret when an attack was expected. He also spoke of playing a part in the development of the Hoover Library. He seemed very proud of his time as mayor. He was soft spoken and very interesting to listen to. He spoke very proudly of his son. He made a point of thanking me for talking with him. I was saddened by his passing and wanted to share my brief experience. I am sure he will be missed.
My condolances to everyone who loved and cared for Phil. Thru Phil, who I met at the Northbrook care center, I was entertained with wonderful stories and introduced to the Wapsipinicon Almanac. He was a true joy and I will remember him fondly.
To Phil's family. We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.
He was a kind man every time I saw him on my visits to see Dixie. He was a reflection of his wonderful parents, and his children are a reflection of him.
Scott, Dixie, and families, We are so sorry for your loss. Growing up in W.B. the Thomas brothers were always a big part of this town. Phil offered allot to this town and to his family and friends. He was difinitly a Gentleman. Our hearts go out to you.
