Arlette Pelley Deines

I met Arlette many years ago through dancing and continually ran into her through the years. She will be greatly missed by her dancing friends as we will miss her smiling face. As the years passed, we found out that we knew a lot of the same people. She always brought a smile to my face when I saw her! Rest in peace with the arms of the Lord securely fastened around you, Arlette.

At our last family reunion, Arlette and I did a lot of talking and laughing about a lot of things. Her contagious smile will be missed. We have lost a very special relative, but God has gained an Angel. Rest in Peace, Arlette.

There was no one more fun to dance with than Arlette. We have known her about 10 years especially from dancing at the Longbranch in Cedar Rapids. I know she had some challenging moments but she danced with pure joy - and quite a bit of talent! She will be greatly missed. Doug and Jill Roberts

I remember watching her dance, she was so graceful and really loved to express herself on the floor. She was beautiful and a beautiful person inside...too. We loved her dearly and will truly miss her smile and grace. RIP Arlette you are free of pain and we will miss you so. Till we meet again.

I remember Arlette as a young, fun loving, human being in her teenage years. The most vivid picture I have of her in my mind's eye is her walking back and forth from school, always carrying two hands full of books and papers for home study. Her brother Steve and I were friends in school, and entered the Navy together. Both brother and sister, Arlette and Steve, their time in God's earthly creation was too short. May Jesus Christ cradle her in His comforting arms as she moves toward the New Creation promised to her by Christ Jesus. Our prayers go out to Arlette's family that God may comfort all her family and close friends in their time of loss. What is lost here in God's creation is His gain in heaven, and all that God does is for His good purposes for all His creation. My acquaintance with Arlette was through the Memory Bros. site. They asked that we email her. I did and told her I was praying for her. She replied and said, at that time, I was the only person that had emailed her. I felt good about emailing a complete stranger, but sad that I was the only that had.( at that point.) I did email her again, but didn't get a reply. I con't. to pray for her and that God would give her peace. HE HAS!!!! My sympathies to her family and friends. I was saddened when I read that she had passed.

Jenni, I have known your mom since you were a baby and she babysit my son, Jaime, who is now your partner in life. Life seems to go full circle and we all come back to the beginning with a better sense of purpose. I know your mom is looking over you and your family and she's happy that your life will be full of family, friends and loved ones. The loss of a mother is a hard part of life that no one wants to have to endure. I hope your mother leaves you with happy memories that will last throughout your life and the lives of her grandchildren. Be happy that she is now pain-free, soaring amongst the angels, and will be there for you in spirit whenever you need her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You have my deepest condolenses. Love ya sweetheart! Mama Elaine

We met Arlette as she would walk by our house almost daily walking home from her job at the school and walking her dogs. As time went on we became friends and would talk about antiques and her dream home in Chelsea. She will be dearly missed.

Arlette and I attended Antioch Church of Christ in the 80's. Arlette was the church secretary for a time, and quickly became a friend with her quick laughter and smile. I remember going out for ice cream with Arlette and simply hanging out with her. She was so much fun and always had an encouraging word to offer. She will be missed!
