Obituary for Alice L. Overton

Alice L. Overton, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Private family services will be held at a later date. Alice Lillian was born on December 23, 1922 to Wilfred and Lilian Irons in Purleigh, Essex, England. She served in the British Army during WWII. Alice served in the Tower of London, among other places. She was united in marriage to Charles W. Overton on July 30, 1945 in Brussels, Belgium. They later divorced. She is survived by her son, Trevor (Gloria) Overton of Cedar Rapids; granddaughters, Erin (DJ) Fleege of Center Point; Hannah, Lauren, and Danielle Overton all of Cedar Rapids. Alice was preceded in death by her son, Michael.
