Thomas Patrick Henry, 52, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be held at First Assembly of God Church at 3233 Blairs Ferry Rd NE Cedar Rapids on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Sohn presiding.
Thomas was born on June 10, 1961 the son of Robert and Evelyn (Bledsoe) Henry in East Los Angeles, California. On June 1, 2011 he married his wife, Melynda (Edmonson) Henry in Reno, Nevada. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and loved spending time with his wife, Melynda, and his family. He was a wonderful, selfless, and giving person, always with a smile on his face. His priorities were always to God, his beloved wife, his family, and then himself; in that order.
Thomas is survived by his wife; his sons, Roy and family of New Mexico, Mike and family of Iowa City, Matthew of Solon, and Jonathan of Solon; his daughters, Santana and family of Illinois, Mary and family of Cedar Rapids, and Melanie and family of Hiawatha; his parents; his brother, Frank and family of Texas; his sisters, Denise and family and Suzanne and family, all of Fort Madison; and extended family in Tennessee, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
