Paul Dean Quick, 76, of Fairfield, IA passed away at his home on Monday August 19, 2013. As were his wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Sunday September 1, 2013 at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, IA. Stacy Grau will be officiating. Paul will be buried at New Sweden Cemetery. Paul is survived by his wife Jeannette Quick, of Fairfield, IA; three daughters: Diann (Ben) Quigley of Spring, TX, Penny Dodds, of Fairfield, IA, and Terri (Scott) Reneker of Fairfield, IA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother Don (Marilyn) Quick. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Pauline (Quick) Reeder. Paul Dean Quick was born August 15, 1937 to Karl and Mildred (Pierson) Quick in Fairfield, IA. He grew up in the Lockridge area, and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955. On May 22, 1965 he married Jeannette Carol Richardson in Fairfield, IA. From 1956-1960 Paul served in the Air Force and was stationed in California, Texas, and Labrador. He worked for Dexter for 10 years and Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company as a supervisor for 37 years before retiring. Paul was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, where he served on the church council. He was also a member of the Walton Club. Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, woodworking, bird watching, and his many cats. Memorial donations in Paul''s name can be made to First Lutheran Church in Fairfield and Noah''s Ark in Fairfield.
