Obituary for Margie Dolores West

Margie Dolores West, 81, of Wayland, IA passed away at her home Tuesday August 20, 2013 surrounded by family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. As were her wishes, she will be cremated. Survivors include her children: Debra (Rex) McGuire of Wayland, IA, and Rick West of Mount Pleasant, IA; granddaughters: Ricki (Larry) Bickford of Mediapolis, IA, Andrea (Darin) Reynolds of Keokuk, IA, April Brown of Oakville, IA, Autumn (Rich) Vandenberg of Stockport, IA, and Krystal King of Olds, IA; 14 great grandchildren: Lee, Debra, Michael, Jacob, Ryan, Luke, Jarrod, Aubree, Paige, Caitlyn, Nicolle, Matthew, Phillip, and Londyn; and 4 great great grandchildren: McKenlee, Easton, Charlotte, and Joel. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother, and twin great-great granddaughters Rockelle and Rachelle. Margie Dolores Holmes was born September 26, 1931 to Clarence Carl and Mary Jane (Gibbs) Holmes in Bonaparte, IA. She worked for many years at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, spending time at the river, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She especially loved spending time with her family and talking with them on the phone.
