Jimmy Dwain Klunder

Jimmy Dwain Klunder, 72, of Nashua, IA passed away at his home Saturday August 24, 2013 surrounded by family. As were his wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of his life and burial will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. He is survived by his wife Zita Klunder of Nashua, IA; children: Lori (Scott) Sanders of Sheffield, IA, Cheryl (Ron) Ohotto of Mason City, IA, Shane Maben of Waterloo, IA, Shannon Maben of Mason City, IA, and Dale (Bonnie) Klunder of Mason City, IA; 23 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Jerry (Pat) Klunder of Gilbert, AZ, Robert (Geraldine) Klunder of Hampton, IA, and Dorothy Neve of Mason City, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Klunder, grandson Cody Thompson, brother Dale Klunder, and brother-in-law Maynard Neve. Jimmy Dwain Klunder was born February 19, 1941 to Donald and Florence (Baker) Klunder in Mason City, IA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and was a member of the American Legion Post 0122 at State Center. Jimmy married Zita Belle Haan on April 28, 1988 in Mason City, IA. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years, and Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 25 years before retiring. His hobbies included attending stock car races, watching movies, and woodworking. He also loved spending time with his family.
