Obituary for Peggy R. Malcolm

Peggy R. Malcolm, 82, of Norwalk, IA (formerly of Marshalltown, IA) died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her dearest son, his wife, and granddaughter near her side. Per her wishes, Peggy was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 4 at 1:30p.m. at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church located at 201 E. Church Street, Marshalltown. She is survived by her son, Chris (Brenda) Malcolm of Norwalk, IA; her son, Robert (Carin) Bardwell of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Reed Malcolm, Carrie Jo Snyder (Tristan Kuhr) and Carleen Shirk (Mike) and three great-grandchildren Hayden and Brooklyn Shirk and Camden Scott Kuhr. Her husband, daughter, siblings, and parents preceded her in death. Peggy R. Malcolm was born February 8, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Howard and Rose (Sampson) Fisher. Peggy wed Thomas O. Malcolm on August 5, 1950 in Carthage, Missouri. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a loving grandmother. Peggy enjoyed bird watching, cooking, and visiting with her family and friends. Memorials may be made to St. Paul''s Episcopal Church in Marshalltown, Iowa and Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk, IA (921 Sunset Drive, Norwalk, IA, 50211).
