My father, Charles D. "Dud" Hayes, was a classmate and good friend. He called Mr. Elliott on his 100th birthday in March. They had a great conversation and planned to talk again on my Dad's 100th birthday in November. My father and mother, Louise, are both in a nursing home in Brunswick, MO. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

George and Betty sitting together having Lorna Doone cookies and coffee will be forever in my mind. I'm so glad I was privileged to know them. Lovely couple and family.....thinking of you....

I helped take care of George every night for 8 months. I got to be pretty close to him and we shared many laughs. The last thing he told me was follow your dreams and they will take you where you need to be. He was always so thankful for me being there to help him. I will always remember his smile and the stories he had to tell. I wish him peace and peace to Carole and the rest of the family.
