Obituary for Denise Lynn LaMar

Denise Lynn LaMar, 48, of Coggon, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Memorial service will be held at Zion Presbyterian Church in Coggon, IA at a later date. Survivors are her children, Krystal Harbin of Clarinda, Robin Black and her fiancé, Todd Larson of New Market, and Alan and his wife, Shelley LaMar of Rock Island, IL; her mother, Joyce Rogers of Coggon; her brother, Christopher Rogers of Cedar Rapids; her sisters, Debra Sterling of Cedar Rapids, Donna Geisler of Commerce City, CO, and Dee Wilson of Shenandoah; her grandchildren, Alissa, Gabriel, Brandon, Cameran, and Jaxon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Rogers, and her ex-partner, Frank "Joe" VanMeter. Denise Lynn Rogers was born on August 3, 1964 in Cedar Rapids to Wayne and Joyce Bruce Rogers. She was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church in Coggon, and enjoyed arts and crafts, scrapbooking, and reading.
