Obituary for Clifford Baker

Clifford Loraine Baker, 91, of Dysart, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids surrounded by loved ones. Services for Cliff will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 1 to 3 pm at Windsor Manor in Vinton, IA. Inurnment will be held over the 4th of July. Survivors include his loving wife and sweetheart of 64 years, Virginia Baker; and their nieces and nephews that he considered his own children whom he loved and adored. Clifford was born on February 1, 1922 in Grundy Center, IA. On May 25, 1949, he married his wife, Virginia Nass, in Dysart, Iowa. Cliff proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a laborer for John Deere for 30 years. Cliff loved hunting, fishing, and carpentry. He was a member of the American Legion. Condolences may be mailed to PO Box 332, Dysart, Iowa 52224
