I met Ron through the JWW writer's community. Ron was loved and respected by many ... and as others have mentioned, despite his "unwriter" soubriquet, Ron was definitely a writer filled with creativity and wonder. Please accept my thoughts and prayers and I hope that your memories of good times with Ron will bring you some comfort during this most difficult time.

I have never met Ron save through the writers' group in which we both participated. His love for his family and especially Kaydence, and also his writing, was a shining example to us all.

I met Ron through an online group for writers. He was a talented writer who wrote wonderfully humorous stories for adults and children, and he was also a generous friend who read and honestly reviewed the books of his fellow writers to help promote them. Although I never met him in person, I considered him a close friend and will miss him a great deal. I'm so glad he has some of his delightful stories posted on his blog and available for others to read. I will always think of him whenever I see the antics of a mischievous kitten.

Sincere condolences to Ron's family and friends. I remember Ron's quiet humility, brightness, and kindness during Methodist Youth Fellowship meetings: His mom fed us well for many years! Sounds like he honed many talents, acquired many friends, and will be missed so very much.

I met Ron through an online writers group. He has been a good friend and will be greatly missed. He was generous with his time, his help, his wit, and posted reviews of most of my books. Rest in peace, Ron.

Ron identified himself as "unwriter." But he was a writer. And he was a member of several online writers groups, but a particularly important member of the JWW (JaysWritersWorld) community. He will be missed. I was overwhelmed when he told me what a good writer I am. That he believed in my skills and talents. That he encouraged me. He has been set on No E-mail at our yahoogroup. He will remain on the members list, a part of our group forever. I am very sorry for your loss. I know how much Ron loved his children and that little grandchild. He adored that little girl. We all will miss him, but I know you will miss him much more. You all are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Ron was a unique, unforgettable man. I met him years ago via our participation in Toastmasters clubs and events in the Cedar Rapids area. I always admired his zest for life. I have fond memories of Ron showing me his latest piece of jewelry, but more importantly, the pictures of his granddaughter. He treasured every minute with her.

I met Ron through an online writing group. He wrote wonderfully humorous stories for children and adults, and he was also a generous friend who read and honestly reviewed the books of his friends to help promote them. He always had a kind word to say whether it was in condolence or in celebration, and his unique views of any topic always lent something worthwhile to the conversation. Although I never met him in person, I considered him a close friend, and I'll miss him a great deal. I'm so glad his delightful stories are available for people to read on his blog and in his books. And I will always think of him whenever I see the antics of a mischievous kitten.

Ron and I attended Washington HS together. At our last reunion Ron was there and offered to help. I was looking forward to working with him on our committee. He was very proud and excited to be around his little granddaughter. We will miss his input.
