Gary Potter

Gary L. Potter, 74, of Anamosa, died March 12, 2012 at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Apostolic Assembly of Anamosa. Surviving are his children; Lonnie Potter of Cedar Rapids, Lisa (Jerry) Kindred of Palo, Lori Potter of Coralville, Dana Potter of Anamosa and Darcy (David) Sunlin also of Anamosa; grandchildren, Jennifer Potter, Jason Potter, Nikki Kindred, Jared Kindred, Kelsey Potter, Olivia Sunlin, Alaina Sunlin and Mark Sunlin; great grandchildren, Ava Klein and Noah Klein; brother-in-law, Don Dusanek of Iowa City; one niece Dori Pirkl; one nephew, Darin Dusanek. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joyce Dusanek. Gary Lee Potter was born March 18, 1937 in Onslow, Iowa the son of Ralph and Ann (Juilfs) Potter. He was employed as a machinist at Harnischfeger and Rockwell Goss. He enjoyed woodworking and was active in his church, Apostolic Assembly of Anamosa. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of Gary''s friends from his church and the staffs of Willow Gardens Care Center and Hospice Compassus.
