Obituary for Florence J. Grant

Florence J. Grant, 87, of 5404 Pine Grove Dr. NE died Saturday March 10, 2012 at her home after a long illness. Per Florence''s request there will be no service or visitation. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter Ruth Greig and her husband Terry of Cedar Rapid; two sons, Paul and his wife Mary Ann of Quinlan, Texas, Bruce and his wife Desiree of Kankakee, Illinois and one sister Zillah Norton of Lees Summitt, Missouri. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Sarah Crippen of Cedar Rapids and Daniel Greig of Verona, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip. Florence was born on June 24, 1924 at Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Zillah Walters Norton. She was a file clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad for many years. Florence was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
