I am Peanut's first Mom. Dona and I worked together She was the secretary at AUMC and the Local Access Office rented space in the basement for awhile. We would always chat a couple times a day. After our beloved Rottweiler passed away, I had a friend whose terrier had puppies and thought a puppy would fill the void left by Lady's passing. I liked the one with the peanut shaped spot on the back hence the name "Peanut" She was friendly, energetic and looked like she was smiling. She quickly got the idea of "going outside" loved to play and be with us. A perfect angel - when we were home. However, when we left her alone, she got into all kinds of mischief. She opened the cupboard, sampled 3 boxes of cereal, chewed up my brand new glasses and shoes could not be left on the floor. She had to be kenneled when we were not home and I do not believe in kenneling a dog for long periods. It was about this time that Dona said she would like to find a dog for Clyde. Not too small or too large and one that would be friendly enough to tolerate a lot of attention. I said to her "Do I have a dog for you!" After I explained what had been going on, Dona agreed to give Peanut a try. "The rest is history." I will miss Dona so much. She always had a smile and a hug for me. We always had a good chat when we could. I would often see her at the Concerts on Thursday nights during the summer. Friends don't come around like her often, I just lost me one. . Rest in Peace Dona - I'm sure Clyde is glad to see you. . .

To hear about the loss of Dona was suprise. She was a wonderful lady. She had a huge heart and helped my family more than once when we went through hard times. Thoughts and prayers to all of her family. You can never really lose a person like Dona. I speak of her offen and will never forget her. I rejoice knowing that she is free of any pain and is with the one true God. Dona we will always love you.
