Robert Gerald Lisk
rest in peace, bob, so long
Bob and I spent some wonderful time together when we were young men early in our careers. After many years moving along different paths, we had recently reconnected. It was a joy to hear from him, and remember back 35 years when we were young and footloose. A good man. A good friend.
Bob and I sorta grew up together many years ago. We had many great times together. He was a good friend, and he will be missed. My prayers and Condolences to Frankie and Nelle . Bob
I was KSL-TV news' art director in the 1970s when Bob was a station photographer. He and I became close friends, partly because he seemed to admire my artwork. In fact, I featured him in an in-house cartoon about news as a gameshow, with the caricature of Bob running after a story in the foreground. He and I re-connected this past year, after decades of not keeping in touch, and re-newed our friendship. I was aware of his having some health problems, but not to the extent that he ever even hinted that they were terminal. Bob will be greatly missed by many of us who knew him, worked with him, and enjoyed his personality. He was always 'upbeat' and eager to please as well as to do his job exceptionally well. Our prayers go out to his mother and son.
I am soo sorry for your loss! I meet Bob through my Auntie Lynn. We only had brief interactions but he was always funny, and kind. I love you Frankie and if you need anything you call me or your Uncle Mike! Condolences
Frankie, You don't know me but I have been a 'cyber' friend of your father's for quite a few years. It's been a long time since I heard from him and I don't know what happened, but I'm just shocked at his passing. Your dad talked a LOT about you. In fact, that's how we met...on an internet website about father's and children's rights. He was SO devoted to you! And proud of you, too! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me....I'd be more than happy to 'talk' to you! Lori Chalupa Kalona
Love to you Nell and family...
Hey - Please know that I miss you terribley and that I have always loved you, even when mad at you. Also know that I promise to take care of Frankie. Love always, Lois
Just learned of Rob's passing today...so sad to hear of it. we have many fond memories of Rob & our time as neighbors in CR. Nell & Franklin & family you are all in our thoughts.
You will be missed. R.I.P. Robert.
I have many memories of Bob-as a videographer of talent, a helpful friend, a participant in good times, & an entrepeneur (usually with his dad). It has been sad to see his decline in recent years. One thing which stands out, though, is the smile which would cross his face when thinking of, or in the presence of, his son, Frankie. To Franklin Lisk: He was a loving father who was proud to be your dad, Frankie. I hope you will go on in life to great things, I know it's hard to lose a parent at any age, regardless of their health prior to passing. Be a good son to your remaining parent, Lynn, and to your grandparent(s). God Bless You ! To Lynn McGuire: May you find closure, and continue to be a positive force in your childrens' lives. God Bless You ! To Nelle Lisk: It isn't the way we expect to experience the loss of a child before our own passing. Your road is the most difficult of all, and I wish for you the peace of mind that comes with acceptance of that which cannot be changed. You did what you could, while you could. My deepest sympathies, and may God Bless You !
