Obituary for Dean Edward Rewerts

Dean Edward Rewerts, 76, of Allison, Iowa, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home in Allison with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held Friday February 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Vilmar) Rural Greene, Iowa and a private family graveside service. Dean Edward Rewerts was born on August 1, 1935 in Parkersburg, Iowa to Dick and Dora (Claassen) Rewerts. He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958. Dean married Betty Siemers on September 27, 1963 in Bristow, Iowa. Dean worked as a farmer near Allison and he worked at White Farm Equipment in Charles City, Iowa. Dean''s hobbies included bicycling, cribbage and he enjoyed nature. Dean and his family attended St. John''s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Vilmar) rural Green, Iowa. Dean is survived by his wife; Betty; daughters; Beth (Kelly) Andersen of Parkersburg, Iowa, Debra (Doug) Eisentrager of Dumont, Iowa; grandchildren; Danielle and David Eisentrager of Dumont, Iowa; sisters; Viola Muller of Dumont, Iowa, Mary Dixon and Joan Moore of Hansell, Iowa; sister-in-law; Mildred Rewerts of Parkersburg, Iowa. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Louella Eiklenborg and brothers; Leo, Dwight and Roy Rewerts.
