Jonathan D. Thompson, 52, of Des Moines passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at a later date, to be determined. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Jonathan David Thompson was born on August 18, 1960 to Melvin and Geraldine (Springer) Thompson in Des Moines, Iowa. He enjoyed bowling, their 2004 Mustang, attending concerts, traveling, football, their cats, and driving the chase truck for Road Rash Scooter Group.
He is survived by his daughter, Tory Thompson, of Muscatine; significant other, Mary Haynes; and sister, Tami (Rodger) Freel, neice Jinna Jacobs, two nephews, Gabe Neubauer and Nathan Freel of Des Moines.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece Eileen Anne.
