Thea A. Gibbons, 50, of Lincoln, Iowa, passed away of natural causes, on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa.
Thea was born on October 9, 1961 in Orange County, CA. She was the daughter of Buell W. and Amelia W. (Wiltbank) Haws. She graduated from the Kansas City Kansas Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse and was working toward her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Thea was united in marriage to Stephen H. Gibbons on July 12, 1980 in Eagar, AZ. They welcomed three children into their family. As a young woman, Thea was a member of the 4H Club. She participated in hometown rodeos. Thea was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her true joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
Thea is survived by her husband Stephen Gibbons, Sr.; children, Stephen Gibbons, Jr.; Velda Rainer and Sonny Jensen; sister, Marsha Gregory; brothers, Frank Haws and Wayne Dexter and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Chris.
