Lester "Les" John Fuhrmann

Lester "Les" John Fuhrmann of Evansdale went home to be with Jesus on Sunday April 8 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home. He was born in Crow Wing County, MN. Son of Hugo and Pearl Kinney Fuhrmann. He married Susan Sheeley on Feb.6, 1966. He retired from John Deere with 30 years of service in 1996. He was an army Veteran serving during the Viet-Nam conflict. He was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale. He is survived by his wife, a son Christopher "Chris" (Angie) of Dunkerton, a daughter Jeana Little of Elk Run heights,1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons, 3 step-grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, a brother Lee (Peggy) Fuhrmann of Rolla, Mo., 2 sisters, Darlene Pitts and Margaret(Charles) Stocks of Evansdale. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking and quilting. He had many other sewing projects, including making kid''s surgical hats for Allen Hospital volunteers program. There will be a memorial service at 10:30 Wednesday morning at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Memorials may be given to the church, Cedar Valley Hospice, The American Heart and Lung Association.
