Ethel "Bonjour" Ayers
Ethel (Bonjour) Ayers, 79, of Dumont, passed away on April 2, 2012 at her home. Ethel was born January 20, 1933 in Geneva, Iowa to Ray and Louise (Becker) Bonjour. She graduated from the Hampton High School. Ethel married Melvin Ayers on June 24, 1951 near Dumont. Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, camping and gardening.
Ethel is survived by her husband Melvin of Dumont, 2 sons, James and wife Diane Ayers of Dumont and Rick and wife Pam Ayers of Arcadia, Fl. Grandchildren, John, Tim and Michael Oates, Jamie and Joey Velt, David, Rusty and Nicolas Ayers, brother Walter and wife Sharon Bonjour and several great-grandchildren. Ethel is preceded in death by her mother and father, daughter Patricia Oates, brothers, Orville, LaVerne, Leo, Russell and sisters, Ruth Froning, Mary Moser and Edna Chase.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
